- Polyclonal
- Description
- Calsequestrin-2, also known as, Calsequestrin, cardiac muscle isoform, and encoded by the gene name CASQ2, is a high-capacity, moderate affinity, calcium-binding protein and thus acts as an internal calcium store in muscle. CASQ2 is localized to the sarcoplasmic reticulum in cardiac and slow skeletal muscle cells. Mutations in CASQ2 have been assoicated with Ventricular tachycardia, catecholaminergic polymorphic, 2 which is characterized by stress-induced, bidirectional ventricular tachycardia that may degenerate into cardiac arrest and cause sudden death.

- Storage
- Stable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt. Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
