Description

MA3-935 detects OATP8 from human tissue and cells. This antibody does not detect dog, mouse or rat protein. MA3-935 also detects the OATP2 isoform. MA3-935 has been successfully used in immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and immunoprecipitation procedures. Immunofluorescence staining of OATP8 in human liver samples results in a pattern consistent with plasma membrane staining. The MA3-935 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding ot residues M(1) D Q N Q H L N K T A E A Q P S E N K K T R Y(23) C of human OATP2.

Experimental details

Immunofluorescent analysis of OATP8 in HepG2 Cells. Cells were grown on chamber slides and fixed with formaldehyde prior to staining. Cells were probed without (control) or with a OATP8 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA3-935) at a dilution of 1:20 overnight at 4 C, washed with PBS and incubated with a DyLight-488 conjugated secondary antibody (Product # 35503). OATP8 staining (green), F-Actin staining with Phalloidin (red) and nuclei with DAPI (blue) is shown. Images were taken at 60X magnification.
