- Description
- Monoclonal antibody for COLLAGEN XVII/COL17A1 detection. Host: Rabbit.Size: 100ug/vial. Tested applications: IP, IF, IHC, ICC, WB. Reactive species: Human, Mouse, Rat COLLAGEN XVII/COL17A1 information: Molecular Weight: 150419 MW; Subcellular Localization: Cell junction, hemidesmosome. Membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein. Localized along the plasma membrane of the hemidesmosome; Tissue Specificity: Detected in skin (PubMed:8618013). In the cornea, it is detected in the epithelial basement membrane, the epithelial cells, and at a lower level in stromal cells (at protein level) (PubMed:25676728). Stratified squamous epithelia. Found in hemidesmosomes. Expressed in cornea, oral mucosa, esophagus, intestine, kidney collecting ducts, ureter, bladder, urethra and thymus but is absent in lung, blood vessels, skeletal muscle and nerves.

- Experimental details
- Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded mouse skin, using Collagen XVII Antibody(M03031)COL17A1 was detected in paraffin-embedded tissue section. Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed in citrate buffer (pH6, epitope retrieval solution) for 20 mins. The tissue section was blocked with 10% goat serum. The tissue section was then incubated with 1ug/ml rabbit anti-COL17A1 Antibody (M03031)overnight at 4 °C. Biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody and incubated for 30 minutes at 37 °C. The tissue section was developed using Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex (SABC)(Catalog # SA1022) with DAB as the chromogen.
