- Description
- Description: The monoclonal antibody 2G7 reacts to CD84, a transmembrane protein of the Ig SLAM superfamily. Expression of CD84 is found on mature B cells, a subset of T cells (mainly CD4+CD45RA+), monocytes and platelets. CD84 is found on a percentage of human hematopoietic progenitor (CD34+) cells. Signaling through CD84 via homotypic interactions involves phosphorylation and recruitment of SAP and EAT-2 leading to production of IFNgamma and T cell activation.
