Experimental details

Western blot analysis from lysates of human intestine tissue and mouse intestine tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Rat Anti-human/mouse Meprin ß Subunit/MEP1B Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-23991) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody. A specific band was detected for Meprin ß Subunit/MEP1B at approximately 97 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions.

Experimental details

Immunohistochemical analysis of MEP1B in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human intestine. Samples were incubated in MEP1B monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-23991) using a dilution of 1 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Rat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown) and counterstained with hemotoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to the Brush border of epithelial cells This application has not been tested in mouse samples.
