- Description
- NOD1 belongs to the specialized family of NOD-like receptors (NLRs) that participate in the recognition of fragments of the bacterial cell wall component called peptidoglycan (PG). It mediates the assembly of complexes that activate MAPK and NF-κB signaling pathways and leads to stimulation of the genes responsible for the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, chemokines, and interferons. Genetic variants of NOD1 are associated with inflammation, autoimmune disorder and cancer.

- 293E cells untransfected (lane 1) or 293E transfected with hNOD1(lane 2) were resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose, and probed with purified anti-NOD1(U54-014) antibody. Proteins were visualized using an anti-mouse-IgG secondary conjugated to HRP and chemiluminescence detection.
