- Description
- Cytohesin-3, also known as, ARF nucleotide-binding site opener 3 or Protein ARNO3 or General receptor of phosphoinositides 1 or Grp1 or PH or SEC7 and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 3, and encoded by the gene name(s), CYTH3 or ARNO3 or GRP1 or PSCD3, is a member of the PSCD family. PSCD members have identical structural organization that consists of an N-terminal coiled-coil motif, a central Sec7 domain, and a C-terminal pleckstrin homology (PH) domain. PSCD promotes the activation of arf through replacement of GDP with GTP. CYTH3 is localized to the cytoplasm.
