Description

Tumor-associated calcium signal transducer 2 (TROP-2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of tumor-associated calcium signal transducer (TACSTD) gene family. It is an EpCAM-like molecule and it is expressed in squamous, cuboidal, and columnar epithelium of normal organs. TROP-2 is overexpressed in various types of epithelial carcinomas from lung, breast, stomach, ovary, cervix, colon and pancreas.
