- Immunohistochemistry of bone substitute stained for Osteocalcin using Anti-Osteocalcin Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA1-20788). Bone substitute (hydroxyapatite and silicon) was implanted subcutaneously into sheep for 12 weeks. After a series of deparaffinization, rehydration, and blocking steps, paraffin-embedded bone sections were stained with MA1-20788 (1:10 diluted in 10% normal goat serum in 1X PBS) for 3 hours, followed by a biotin-conjugated anti-mouse IgG secondary antibody for 1.5 hours, an avidin-biotin complex reagent for 1 hour, and finally DAB substrate. Sections were counterstained with hematoxylin. Osteocalcin staining is shown in brown, and nuclear staining is shown in blue. Magnification = 100X. Data courtesy of the Innovators Program.
