BCL W/BCL2L2 information: Molecular Weight: 20746 MW; Subcellular Localization: Mitochondrion membrane ; Peripheral membrane protein . Loosely associated with the mitochondrial membrane in healthy cells. During apoptosis, tightly bound to the membrane; Tissue Specificity: Expressed (at protein level) in a wide range of tissues with highest levels in brain, spinal cord, testis, pancreas, heart, spleen and mammary glands. Moderate levels found in thymus, ovary and small intestine. Not detected in salivary gland, muscle or liver. Also expressed in cell lines of myeloid, fibroblast and epithelial origin. Not detected in most lymphoid cell lines.

- Add 0.2ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500ug/ml.

- IHC analysis of BCL2L2 using anti- BCL2L2 antibody (PA1426-1). BCL2L2 was detected in paraffin-embedded section of human rectal cancer tissues. Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed in citrate buffer (pH6, epitope retrieval solution) for 20 mins. The tissue section was blocked with 10% goat serum. The tissue section was then incubated with 1μg/ml rabbit anti- BCL2L2 Antibody (PA1426-1) overnight at 4°C. Biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody and incubated for 30 minutes at 37°C. The tissue section was developed using Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex (SABC)(Catalog # SA1022) with DAB as the chromogen.
