- Polyclonal
- Description
- Also known as Vesl-1S, Homer1 is an activity-induced neuronal protein that is expressed at a low level in its resting state and is induced by neuronal activities such as long-term potentiation (LTP), seizure, and stimulations like inflammatory pain, depolarization, and dopamine. However, further research is still required to elucidate its mode of action, Homer1 was shown to play a role in the onset of synaptic remodeling and regulate the activity-induced biphasic changes of post- and pre-synaptic sites.
