Product name
Rabbit Anti-Human ZAG
Antibody type
Polyclonal
Antigen
Synthetic peptide derived from human Zinc-?-2-glycoprotein.
Description
Zinc-?-2-glycoprotein (ZAG), a 43-kDa protein, is overexpressed in certain human malignant tumors and acts as a lipid-mobilizing factor to stimulate lipolysis in adipocytes leading to cachexia in mice implanted with ZAG-producing tumors. ZAG originally isolated from human plasma, is also found in secretory epithelia cells including those of breast, prostate, and liver, as well as in bronchial, gastrointestinal, and sweat glands. Overexpression of ZAG occurs in several types of malignant tumor, and consequently ZAG has been used as a cancer marker. This antibody was produced from a rabbit immunized with the immunogen. The IgG fraction was purified from rabbit serum followed by Protein A/G affinity chromatography

Handling
Antibody is supplied lyophilized and purified originally containing PBS without any preservative stabilizers. The final amount is indicated on the vial. The antibody is stable for at least a year from the date of receipt when stored at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted antibody (suggesting with sterile PBS) can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer for months without detectable loss of activity. Upon reconstitution, the antibody can also be stored for months at 4°C. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
